Why shut out the real world?

To the Editor,

I have a major query! What is wrong with the sounds of the real world? So many people are doing whatever, but they almost all have have earbuds stuffed in their ears. Why do they have to listen to recorded stuff? They are oblivious to all and anything that happens around them; is the real world that bad that it has to be shut out?
