Another successful pool season

To the Editor

Well another pool season has ended.  It was great to swim in the pool we are so fortunate to have.  Many communities don’t have an indoor swimming pool.  In recent years the pool has been open for three months, but this year the last two weeks were an extension made possible by many contributions from community members, 100 Who Care and SWIMS.  We are working hard to extend that even further next year.  We need to keep supporting the pool through usership and contributions and work toward a year-round schedule.  Many people use the pool for recreation and exercise, but, with a year-round facility, lifeguarding courses, injury rehabilitation, seniors’ programs and many other possibilities could be available here in Lillooet!
