Three males charged after sexual assault

Three men are facing charges of sexual assault and kidnapping following a Stl’atl’imx Tribal Police investigation into a report that a local female had been the victim of a sexual assault near Lillooet.

The Tribal Police began their investigation Monday, Dec. 3.

On Nov. 30 and into Dec. 1, a female victim was alleged to have been sexually assaulted and forcibly confined at a residence. It is also alleged that she was then subsequently forcibly taken from this location and taken to a second location where she was again sexually assaulted.

An exhaustive investigation by STPS investigators covering several crime scenes led to the arrest of three adult males. They all reside in the Lillooet area. The three men appeared before a Justice of the Peace, were remanded in custody and are scheduled to appear in Kamloops Provincial Court tomorrow, Dec. 7.

A 43-year-old male is charged with two counts of assault, two counts of sexual assault and two counts of kidnapping. A 52-year-old male is charged with assault, sexual assault and one count of kidnapping. A 30-year-old male is charged with assault, sexual assault and kidnapping.
