But with three weeks to go until the big event, donations are lagging. A request for donations was sent out a few weeks ago, but only a few have been received.

Donations can be dropped off at the Lillooet REC Centre office or mailed to the District of Lillooet at PO Box 610, Lillooet, BC, V0K 1V0, Attention Lillooet REC Centre Fireworks. If you wish to contribute by cheque, please make them payable to the District of Lillooet.

All donations over $20 will receive a receipt for a charitable donation.

The deadline to submit donations is Oct. 19.
