Investigators are interested in speaking to anyone who traveled the Highline Road/Douglas Trail during the late evening of Friday Oct. 12, and early morning of Saturday Oct. 13, said Cpl. Dan Moskaluk.

The RCMP say they are aware of numerous gruesome rumours about Mr. Aylward’s death, circulating in Seton Portage, D’Arcy, Pemberton and Whistler.

The investigation to date leads investigators to believe Aylward’s murder was a targeted and isolated incident, meanng there is no safety risk for others in the community.

To protect the integrity of the investigation, the cause of Aylward’s death will not be released.
