Lillooet Fire Chief Darren Oike says an investigation is underway into the fire that destroyed Pitstop Repairs last night.
The automotive repair business is located at 860 Moha Road.
Chief Oike told the News this morning the fire call came in at 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Firefighters battled the stubborn blaze for hours and didn’t leave the scene until midnight.
He said there are no plans at this time to bring in an outside investigator to help determine the cause of the blaze.
Instead, Chief Oike will be leading the investigation.
He was unable to tell the News if there were any vehicles inside the building.
“It’s all collapsed in on itself; it’s a total loss,” said Oike.
