Another candidate files papers for District Council

Jamie Longhurst Howe is the fourth candidate to file her nomination papers for a councillor’s position on District of Lillooet Council.

Longhurst-Howe was raised in Lillooet and graduated from LSS. She has moved back here with her family and is also teaching chldren's yoga.

She told the News, "Being able to participate in navigating Lillooet's future is very important because we're bringing in the next generation and I want to ensure Lillooet continues to be a great place to grow up."

Other candidates for the four seats on council are incumbents Laurie Hopfl and Barb Wiebe, and Vera Busse.

Nominations close at 4 p.m. tomorrow.
