News directors elected

The Lillooet Naturalist Society is gearing up for another year of activities and advocacy.

President Vivian Birch-Jones reports that two new members were elected to the society's board at its Annual General Meeting last month. They are Christine Galliazzo and Hal Stathers. Wayne Robinson has stepped down from the board of directors, but will continue to assist the organization in his new role as liaison to the District of Lillooet.

To raise money for the osprey webcam project, the society will be raffling off tickets for a photo of the ospreys at their nest taken and donated by Steve Pietila. Hiko Stock also framed the photo as a donation to the webcam project. The draw for the framed photo will be Apr. 20 at the Planet Peace Café at the Friendship Centre.

The group is also planning activities for the Apr. 19 and 20 visit of the Rivershed Society of BC.
