TORONTO - Some of the most active companies traded Friday on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the TSX Venture Exchange:

Toronto Stock Exchange (11,659.65, down 157.38 points):

Eastern Platinum Ltd. (TSX:ELR). Miner. Down 0.5 cents, or 2.13 per cent, at 23 cents on 20,098,818 shares.

Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B). Transportation equipment. Down 16 cents, or 3.81 per cent, at $4.04 on 15,140,826 shares.

Kinross Gold Corp. (TSX:K). Miner. Down 40 cents, or 4.54 per cent, at $8.41 on 4,954,936 shares.

Osisko Mining Corp. (TSX:OSK). Miner. Up 19 cents, or 2.46 per cent, at $7.92 on 4,638,809 shares.

Viterra Inc. (TSX:VT). Grain-handler. Unchanged at $16.13 on 4,307,897 shares.

Pengrowth Energy Corp. (TSX:PGF). Oil and gas. Down 21 cents, or 3.18 per cent, at $6.40 on 4,297,680 shares.

TSX Venture Exchange (1,211.35 down 15.10 points):

Poynt Corp. (TSXV:PYN). Internet service provider. Down three cents, or 75 per cent, at one cent on 16,710,095 shares.

Barkerville Gold Mines Ltd. (TSXV:BGM). Miner. Up six cents, or 6.59 per cent, at 97 cents on 4,178,694 shares.

Companies reporting major news:

Research In Motion Ltd. (TSX:RIM). Consumer technology. Up 41 cents, or 5.25 per cent, at $8.22 on 3,840,475 shares. The embattled BlackBerry-maker saw its shares rise more than five per cent on Friday. The jump follows a climb of almost five per cent on Thursday, when more than seven million shares were traded.

Teck Resources Ltd. (TSX:TCK.B). Miner. Down $1.04, or 3.16 per cent, at $31.92 on 1,566,738 shares. Teck said Friday that unionized employees at its Cardinal River operations have ratified a new five-year agreement.

Cameco Corp. (TSX:CCO). Miner. Down 12 cents, or 0.53 per cent, at $22.62 on 551,743 shares. Cameco said Friday that about 120 unionized employees at its fuel manufacturing operations in Port Hope and Cobourg, Ont., have voted to approve a new three-year collective agreement.
