Police Blotter

Lillooet Detachment

Story:

AUG. 19

Two injured during disturbance

Lillooet RCMP, Tribal Police and BC Ambulance responded to several calls of a disturbance involving several people on Main Street near the CN Rail tracks.

At least two people sustained injuries, with one requiring medical attention at Lillooet Hospital.

During the altercation, one male had a necklace torn off and several rings fell along the road. Police recovered some of the items but witnesses reported that a female who was driving a red car had stopped to pick something up off the ground, just before emergency crews arrived on scene.

Police are asking the woman who retrieved the item to bring it to the Lillooet RCMP Detachment as it has great sentimental value to the person who lost it. Police are continuing to investigate the incident.

77 calls

For the week of Aug. 11-19, Lillooet RCMP responded to 77 calls for service. A majority of the calls related to the Liquor Control Licensing Act and minor assistance to the general public.
