To the Editor,
As we left for Vancouver last Wednesday about 9 a.m., I couldn’t help but notice the ladies who were busy preparing the planters around town for another summer of beautiful blooms.
It made me think of all the volunteers who do so much for our town and are responsible for a lot of worthwhile projects. The Royal Purple ladies, Lions Club, Elks, the churches and many more who donate and volunteer in times of need.
The Naturalist Society have spent so much time and effort to produce one of the most comprehensive hiking guides I have read. This guide has done a lot to advertise Lillooet as a place to hike and enjoy the peace and calm of nature, without the roar of engines from motorbikes or all-terrain vehicles.
I feel so grateful to all of you who make our community a better place to live.
This all reaffirms in my mind that Lillooet is BC’s Little Nugget.
Sincerely,
Karen Vanderwolf
