To the Editor,
You are invited to a circle! 1.30 to 4.30 p.m., Saturday May 26, at George Murray Gym.
I feel strongly that we need a better community conversation about water. A calm, respectful, safe, informing community conversation. Not debate, not fighting, not personal attacks. A chance to listen and to hear, to speak and to think.
Circles can provide a safe place to share information, and above all to listen. As listeners, we all have an important role to play.
Thanks to Toby Mueller’s Vocal Local column a couple of weeks ago, more of us know about circles.
So I’ve taken the bold step of renting a hall, paying for an advertisement, and inviting you all to join me for a chance to listen to each other.
Bring your ideas, your enthusiasms, your words. Let’s give ourselves the opportunity to get it all on the table to share.
The water conversation itself has become painful – for everyone. Here is a chance to change that.
