Woman charged for stealing liquor

A woman was arrested and charged for stealing liquor and breaching probation. After a JJP hearing was held, the woman was sent to Kamloops to appear in court on Mar. 22.

Suspect arrested in gun theft

Lillooet RCMP responded to a report of a break and enter where several long guns were stolen from a local residence. The Lillooet RCMP have made an arrest in relation to this break and enter, and the investigation is ongoing. For any tips or information regarding this matter, please contact the Lillooet RCMP or Crime Stoppers (1.800.222.8477) and refer to Lillooet RCMP file 2012-455.

 

MAR. 19

Firebug warning issued

Lillooet Fire Department reported a suspicious fire near the railroad tracks by the Lillooet Friendship Centre. Witnesses report two young males were seen fleeing the area. Three other small fires were also set in garbage cans along Main Street. MAR. 20

Male driver faces impaired charges

Lillooet RCMP received a report of a drunk driver. The suspect vehicle was located and stopped on Mountainview Road. The intoxicated driver was arrested for impaired driving and taken to the Lillooet RCMP detachment to provide samples of his breath. The driver was tested and his blood alcohol content was determined to be over two times the legal limit. The driver was released to appear in court to answer to charges of impaired driving.
