QUESTION OF THE WEEK

Statement by Ted Anchor

After receiving advice, I have submitted a letter of resignation from the office as mayor on Jan. 5, 2012. I find myself in a very tenuous position and have no other alternative but to resign.

Many thanks to all of the wonderful people of Lillooet for placing your trust in me. I have never before been involved in such matters. My credibility and integrity is still intact. Lillooet, I cannot be involved any farther.

I wish to commend Kevin Taylor for doing an outstanding job as the flood emergency co-ordinator.

I feel for the three people who have been evacuated from their Garden Street homes. Lorna and I wish you all well.

Keep up the faith in yourselves, Lillooet. You have lost two good men.
