On March 13 at approximately 11:30 a.m., the Lillooet RCMP received a call advising that a group of people were snowmobiling on a trail outside of Bralorne when one of the parties had trouble breathing and collapsed.

Several friends began performing CPR on the man while one of the sledders went into Bralorne for help.

The group was on a trail about 20 minutes outside of Bralorne. The B.C. Ambulance Service contacted the Provincial Emergency Program for assistance in getting to the area since it was not accessible by ambulance.

Search and Rescue sent a helicopter to the scene with a doctor on board. The doctor was unable to revive the man and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The deceased was a 32-year-old Vancouver man. His family was notified of his passing later that same day.

The investigation into the cause of death is still ongoing.

Police continue to work closely with the B.C. Coroner Service. The coroner service has not yet decided if an autopsy is needed.

The deceased had some medical issues prior to his death. While the cause of death has not yet been determined, neither foul play nor environmental issues are believed to be a factor in this incident.
